This book is like the Fallout game series, but with magic! Full of tech and mechs, the world feels post-apocalyptic world where magic was attempted to be wiped out and the world is trying to rebuild. Many twist and turns and every different chapter keeps you guessing at what is around the next corner. Avery is a strong and determined female lead and I can only hope she blows away what holds her down.The quick wit between Avery and Rhyker hints to a possible slow burn romance and I can't wait for book 2!!
